The Agel XS lampshade looks like a light from a small hut on the ocean shore. The upper part is woven from seagrass in a high cone shape with a neat loop for hanging and below a generous very alive fringe about 40 cm long falls down. It resembles dry coastal grass moving in the wind and creates a real "grass waterfall" effect in your room.
When you turn on the light it first passes through the dense weaving and then diffuses in the fibres of the fringe. Soft organic shadows appear on the walls, like from palm leaves or dry reeds. It gives not technical but atmospheric lighting - for evening talks, reading and slow home rituals.
The size H35(+40 fringe) x D30 cm makes Agel XS noticeable but not bulky. It looks great:
above a small dining or coffee table
in a cozy corner with an armchair, throw and books
as a pair of pendants on both sides of the bed instead of table lamps
on a covered terrace or balcony among plants in clay pots.
The natural seagrass has a strong texture and a warm sandy shade that easily pairs with wood, rattan, jute rugs, linen curtains and cotton textiles. The lampshade fits organically into boho, wabi sabi, Japandi, coastal and organic modern interiors and works beautifully together with other natural shades made of raffia, rattan or seagrass.
Each Agel XS is woven by hand by craftsmen in Indonesia. Because of this the fringe can be slightly more wavy or dense, the length of individual fibres and the shade of seagrass may differ a bit from the photo. This is not a defect but part of the boho and wabi sabi philosophy where living irregularity and the unique character of each item are valued.
