As though gently shaped by a tropical breeze, the Laya Natural pendant lampshade captivates with its extraordinary texture and beautifully free-spirited character. Long strands of natural pandanus cascade in soft, flowing layers, creating a rich and voluminous silhouette. There is no rigid symmetry or perfectly uniform finish here. Instead, the design celebrates the spontaneous beauty of nature, where every strand contributes to a unique and expressive composition.
Its colour is just as remarkable as its texture. Shades of wheat, warm honey, amber and earthy brown mingle throughout the natural fibres, creating a wonderfully nuanced palette that changes with the light. Some strands catch a golden glow, while others reveal deeper, more muted tones. These subtle variations are part of the material's authentic charm, giving each handcrafted piece its own individuality.
The silhouette unfolds across three gradually widening tiers. Carefully wrapped circular frames provide structure, while the loose pandanus fibres soften the edges, adding movement, depth and a beautifully organic quality. Measuring 60 cm in diameter and 70 cm in height, Laya Natural makes a striking statement through texture, proportion and the quiet drama of its natural form.
Laya Natural feels especially at home in spacious living areas, above a dining table, in a bedroom filled with natural textiles or within a relaxed lounge setting. Its richly textured surface creates a beautiful contrast against smooth plaster walls, timber furniture, stone and clean architectural lines. It brings warmth to minimalist interiors while complementing the layered, organic character of bohemian and wabi-sabi spaces.
Handcrafted in Indonesia, Laya Natural reflects the beauty of traditional artisan techniques and the expressive possibilities of natural materials. Every fibre follows its own path, every shade tells a story of nature, and together they form a truly distinctive piece with an unmistakable Balinese spirit.
