Topi Lampshade is a tall woven lampshade made from natural pandanus, combining a clean geometric silhouette with a lighter, more relaxed texture. Its elongated conical shape gradually widens towards the bottom, where loose pale fibres soften the outline and introduce a sense of movement.
The upper part of Topi is shaped with a dense, finely woven surface. Seen up close, the rhythm of each row and the subtle natural variations of the pandanus become beautifully visible. Below, the weave becomes heavier and forms a broad textured band, creating a clear transition between the structured body and the free-flowing fringe.
The lower edge is intentionally left loose. Slender strips of pandanus fall at slightly different lengths, curl gently and overlap, giving the lampshade an irregular, lively finish. This balance keeps the generous form visually light: the woven upper section gives Topi its structure, while the pale fringe brings softness and airiness.
At 60 cm in diameter and 65 cm high, Topi has enough scale to hold a clear presence within an interior. It works beautifully above a dining table, in a living room, bedroom or an open lounge area. Its natural palette sits easily alongside wood, light textiles, ceramics, stone and other tactile materials.
Topi is handmade in Indonesia. Subtle variations in the weave, natural colouring and length of the pandanus fibres remain visible, giving each piece the individual character of hand craftsmanship.
