There is something wonderfully nostalgic about this woven storage basket. Its rich walnut-brown tones, beautifully open weave and two tall, rounded handles give it the character of a treasured handmade piece. The design feels warm and familiar, as though it has always belonged in a home filled with natural timber, textured fabrics and carefully collected objects.
Woven from natural water hyacinth, the basket features an intricate open structure that reveals the beauty of the individual plant fibres. The weaving becomes more closely arranged towards the base, adding visual depth to the cylindrical silhouette. A distinctive circular top with a central opening gives the design an unusual finishing touch, while the tall, carefully wrapped handles create an elegant and balanced profile.
The natural material reveals a beautiful spectrum of earthy colours, from soft honey and warm caramel to deeper walnut-brown shades. These tones shift subtly across the woven surface, highlighting the texture and the individuality of the fibres. Each variation adds to the authentic charm of the piece, celebrating the beauty of organic materials.
Perfect for keeping small household essentials, textile accessories and everyday items neatly organised, this basket combines practical storage with distinctive interior style. Display it on an open shelf, a sideboard, a wooden console or in a cosy bedroom corner. Its expressive weaving and elegant handles make it equally appealing as a standalone interior accent.
Made in Indonesia from natural water hyacinth, the basket complements timber, linen, ceramics and stone with effortless ease. It feels particularly at home in bohemian, wabi-sabi and rustic interiors, as well as contemporary spaces enriched with warm, earthy textures. A beautiful reminder that even the simplest everyday objects can bring character and warmth to a home.
