Charcoal L Macrame is a large handcrafted wall hanging from Indonesia, made from cotton and natural wood. Its deep black colour gives traditional macrame an entirely different character, making Charcoal L graphic, expressive and ideal as a strong statement piece in the interior.
The composition is built around intricate symmetrical knotwork. Three large decorative sections combine dense knots, diamond-shaped motifs, woven arches and long vertical cords. The central section extends below the sides, creating a beautiful cascading silhouette that looks especially striking on a large open wall.
The wooden rod remains partially visible between the black cords, creating a natural contrast with the dark textile. Numerous handcrafted knots and variations in the density of the weaving give the composition depth and allow Charcoal L to work as a textile art piece rather than simply a decorative accessory.
