Jala Woven Basket Set is a collection of three handcrafted Indonesian baskets combining the organic texture of pandanus with distinctive white wool detailing. Warm golden-brown plant fibres create a naturally tactile base, while the contrasting decorative wrapping introduces a graphic rhythm that transforms these practical storage baskets into expressive interior objects.
Each basket is constructed from densely woven horizontal rows of pandanus, allowing the natural variations and warm tonal nuances of the plant fibres to remain beautifully visible. White wool threads are then applied by hand across the surface, forming a rhythmic geometric pattern of intersecting lines and decorative knots. This contrast of materials gives Jala its recognisable character and emphasises its artisanal craftsmanship.
The set includes three baskets in different sizes. They can be displayed together as a coordinated composition or used separately throughout the home.
