Permata Black Wall Decor is an expressive piece crafted from natural Alang-Alang grass, where a simple silhouette is defined by colour and texture. The deep black surface never appears flat: long, fine fibres catch the light differently, spreading into a soft fan and creating a beautifully irregular outline.
At the centre of the composition is a large circular ring tightly wrapped in natural fibre. Its soft grey-beige tone is intentionally left in contrast with the black grass. Alang-Alang covers the lower section of the ring, while light visible stitches accent the attachment points. Seen up close, these construction details become part of the design, revealing the handmade character of the piece rather than concealing it.
The texture of the grass is particularly striking. Dense and controlled near the base, the fibres become increasingly loose as they fall, finishing in fine, weightless ends. This gives the black surface depth, movement and a subtle sheen while preserving the naturally uneven edge of the material.
At 65 x 80 cm, Permata Black has a strong presence on the wall, yet its open centre keeps the composition visually light. It can be placed above a console or low cabinet, or used as a focal detail in a bedroom, living room or spacious entrance hall. Against a light wall, its dark silhouette becomes especially graphic, balanced by the warmth of the natural woven ring.
